2006 Gibson Les Paul Standard! $1899.99 Gecko Burst. Love it or hate it, it certainly was one of Gibson's most distinctive finishes. Along with the equally unusual Latte Burst, it was offered for only a short time. Comparatively rare, I've only seen a handful in person and seldom see them on the used market. As time goes on, they are certain to become even harder to find and perhaps even more collectible. All of the specs are 100% USA made Les Paul Standard. From the late 80s when Fender was finally getting their act back together and making some great guitars. These 80s Strats are the beginning of the modern American Standards. 2004 Fender 50’s Reissue Stratocaster in Fiesta Red! $549.99 Fender’s Classic Series 50’s reissue Strat is one of my favorite deals out there. Really cool guitars for the bucks and much more affordable than the expensive American Vintage reissues. A well done recreation of a 50’s Strat. Comfort contoured alder body means good tone. The one piece, soft V shaped maple neck features a 7.25 inch radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage frets. A trio of Alnico magnet single coil pickups are hooked to a 5 way switch for good Strat tone. Kluson style tuners and a vintage style trem keep everything solid. This example is finished in very cool and hard to find Fiesta Red. A very cool salmon/orange that really looks like a rare 50’s Custom Color guitar. 1995 Fender Japan 62 Telecaster Custom Hot Rod! $799.99 Sometimes you can buy something off the rack. Other times, you have to put a guitar together to get what you want. The Tele Custom is a great example of beating the system. This one has some primo parts and was built to replicate a vintage 62 Tele Custom! The body is a genuine Fender Japan 62 Tele Custom reissue body. Made of alder, it is bound on the front and back. The neck is from a 95 Fender Japan Foto Flame Tele. It has the cool faux flame finish and really looks killer. 25.5 inch scale maple with a rosewood fingerboard and vintage style frets. The pickups are a great sounding set of Rio Grandes . The jack is an Electrosocket for trouble free performance. Electronics are top quality Switchcraft/CTS just like in a USA Fender. A string through bridge with 3 compensated saddles and vintage style tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is black and is set off by a pearloid pickguard. 2003 Fender Japan Antigua Telecaster Reissue! $699.99 Love 'em or hate 'em you gotta admit Antigua is one of the most unique colors in Fender's line. Late 70s Antigua Strats and Teles have always been one of my favorites for their hip looks. This Fender Japan reissue has the vibe of the expensive originals! Check out the cool Antigua finish on the body AND pickguard. Dig on the 70s style logo. Wow, you could fool someone with one of these! Fender Japan has always been the player's choice for cool and vibey guitars built to the highest standards of quality. Many players would take a Japanese built Fender over a USA one any day of the week. Top notch attention to detail and workmanship here. Alder body for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 7.25 inch radius maple neck with 21 frets. Dual single coil pickups for classic tone. 2004 Fender Highway Telecaster! $574.99 Looking for a real USA MADE Tele? Fender’s Highway One Series has long been one of my favorites! Great American made tone and features at a great price! The body is alder for killer tone. The one piece, modern C shaped maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets. A duo of hot Alnico 3 magnet single coils dish out classic tones. A 3 saddle string through bridge and American Standard sealed tuners round out the package. This example is finished in classic sunburst and is set off by a white pickguard and chrome hardware. The finishes on all Highway Ones are a thin satin matte lacquer that really lets the tone out. 2000 Dearmond by Guild M-68! $299.99 Guild’s Dearmond line has been popular among retro minded players. Discontinued for awhile now, they have steadily held their value or increased in price in recent years. How can you argue with the vibe? Based on the famous Aristocrat/Bluesbird outline, the M-68 offers a great alternative to a Gibson Les Paul or Gretsch Duo Jet. The single cutaway body is agathis (similar to mahogany) and features nice body binding. The 24.75 inch scale nato neck features a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Dual USA MADE Dearmond 2K Single Coils deliver classic tone from warm and sweet to nasty and growling. An Adjustomatic bridge, Harp tailpiece and sealed tuners round out the hardware. The 3 piece flame maple neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays. Dual Guild humbuckers deliver warm tone. A harp shaped trapeze tailpiece, floating bridge and Grover tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is a gorgeous antique lacquer natural and is set off by gold hardware. A very nice guitar.
