1986 Gibson Les Paul Pre Historic Burst Reissue! $3499.99 The 1958-1960 sunburst Les Paul is considered by many to be the pinnacle of tone and craftsmanship. After several attempts at creating a 58-60 style Lester like the Kalamazoo, Heritage 80, Standard 82's, Leo's, Jimmy Wallace and Guitar Trader editions, Gibson finally released an official reissue in 1983. These guitars were immediately loved by fans of the original Bursts as they were much closer versions of the classic 50s Les Paul than contemporary Standards. Thin binding in the cutaway, ABR bridges, inked on serial numbers, nickel plated hardware, and nice flame tops distinguished them from their counterparts in the regular line. These were top of the line Les Pauls and were priced a good bit higher than a regular Standard. Precursors to the modern Historic reissues, these guitars are well loved by many fans as great guitars. Quality materials and top notch workmanship distinguish these instruments.  The non weight relived body is one piece mahogany for incredible sustain. The book matched flame maple top features some gorgeous figure. The one piece mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid fingerboard inlays. The highly regarded Tim Shaw designed patent number humbucker pickups deliver killer PAF tone. Stopbar Tailpiece, ABR-1 Tuneomatic bridge and tulip button Kluson style tuners keep it rock solid. Rich Heritage Cherry Sunburst lacquer finish that really shows off the beauty of the wood. Incredible tone and feel in a nearly 23 year old guitar. Click Here for more info.

1992 Gibson Les Paul Custom 54 Reissue! $2999.99 The 54 Les Paul Custom has long been one of my favorites. This 1992 Historic model doesn’t disappoint. All of the features that made this model famous. Mahogany body with a carved mahogany top for great sustain. The beefy one piece mahogany neck features a bound ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays. The bound headstock overlay is inlaid with the Gibson logo and gorgeous pearl split diamonds. A P-90 in the bridge and the famous Alnico V Staple neck pickup deliver killer tone. The Alnico V is clear and ringing, almost like a Gretsch Dynasonic. Grover tuners, Bigsby vibrato and a upgraded roller bridge round this one out. Black lacquer finish with nicely yellowed binding and inlays for a cool vintage look. An incredible looking and sounding guitar! Click Here for more info.

2001 Gibson Les Paul Custom! $1999.99 When I first started playing the guitar, nothing could touch a Les Paul Custom. They were the best you could get. Not much has changed. I still have a soft spot for a fancy Les Paul Custom. How could you not love them? Multi ply binding on the front and back of the body as well as the front of the headstock, a bound neck, tons of inlays and fancy gold hardware spell a killer package for me. It's not just about looks though. The Les Paul Custom has all of the ingredients for good tone. The solid mahogany body features a maple top for a good balance of lows and highs. The one piece mahogany neck features an ebony fingerboard with fancy pearl block inlays. Dual humbuckers pump out killer tones. A Stopbar tailpiece and Tuneomatic bridge team up with Grover tuners for rock solid performance. The whole package is finished in ebony lacquer. That's why they call them a Black Beauty! Nothing plays, sounds or looks like a Les Paul Custom! Click Here for more info.

2008 Gibson Les Paul Robot! $1799.99 Tradition and technology combine in one innovative instrument! You've heard about 'em, here it is! The Gibson Robot series offers a standard EADGBE tuning along with 6 other, totally programmable presets. Imagine being able to go from standard tuning to open G in seconds. All of the popular tunings are here. An incredible tool for the gigging musician. Click HERE to view videos from Gibson on this innovative instrument. It even has a mode to allow you to set intonation! I know many folks didn't get why these were so cool, but a noisy, dark stage is not my favorite place to squint at an electronic tuner or trust my old ears. All other features are classic Gibson. The body is made of mahogany and the top is carved maple, a classic Gibson tone recipe. The mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers deliver big tone. A Stopbar tailpiece and a Tuneomatic bridge keep it rock solid. The finish is a gorgeous Fireburst lacquer.  A great looking guitar with tone and innovation to spare. Click Here for more info.

2008 Gibson Firebird Studio! $999.99 I’ve had several of these Firebird Studios and I'm always impressed by the rocking tone and feel. Gibson’s Firebird has long been one of the most unique instruments out there! It doesn’t get much more rock n roll. The Firebird Studio is a stripped down rock machine. The body is mahogany for big tone. The one piece mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. 490R and 498T humbuckers dish out big tone. A Tuneomatic bridge, Stopbar tailpiece and Grover tuners round out the hardware. The finish is black lacquer and is contrasted by a single ply white pickguard.  An incredible guitar in terms of looks and performance! Click Here for more info.

2007 Gibson Custom Shop ES-335 Dot Reissue! $2099.99Here's a great 335! Newer 335's like this one are now made by Gibson's Custom Division. That means better attention to detail and overall quality. This one is  no exception. Looking for versatility? It’s hard to beat a 335! The warmth of a hollowbody with the sustain of a solid body. The laminated flame maple body features a solid maple center block for killer tone. The one piece mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. Dual 57 Classic pickups dish out killer tones. A Stopbar tailpiece, Tuneomatic bridge and Grover Rotomatic tuners keep everything rock solid.  This example is finished in gorgeous and very nice Honey/Ice Tea/Light Burst lacquer. A very attractive finish and the first one I've had in stock in this color. There's hints of flame here and there. I think this was definitely sold as a figured top but it's definitely on the more lightly figured end of the scale. A great and hard to find color. Click Here for more info.

1968 Gibson ES-175 in Rare Black! $4999.99 One of the coolest ES-175's available! In 1968, Gibson made a limited number of black finished guitars. Stunning in looks and incredible in tone, these instruments are highly collectible. All of the features that made the ES-175 great. The hollow body is laminated maple for great tone. The 24.75 inch scale mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with split parallelogram inlays.  Dual patent stick humbuckers dish out big tone. A trapeze tailpiece, floating bridge and Kluson style tuners keep it rock solid. The rare black lacquer finish is set off by a factory white pickguard. 1956 Gibson ES-225T in Blonde! $2499.99 ES-225's are some of the most underrated guitars on the planet. Top notch McCarty era Gibson craftsmanship, cool looks and killer tone. Gibson's first thinline guitar and their first hollowbody to be designed from the ground up as an electric. There's a lot of ES-335 DNA in these instruments that many folks don't even know about! If collectors and players thought of them as proto-335's or 330's, they would be worth more I guess. The body shape is like an ES-175 but the body is thin like a 335. That means comfort and tone. The body is made of laminated maple for resistance to feedback. The neck is mahogany and features a bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. A single P-90 resides in the middle position. For some reason, almost every ES-225 I've owned (and I've owned a bunch) has had an absolutely screaming pickup. This one is no exception. The middle position is a great spot to capture bite, body and definition. You can really dig in and hear those strings. The tailpiece is the famous wraparound as used on ES-295's of the era. This tailpiece offers great sustain over a conventional wooden bridge. Kluson tuners round out the package. Last but certainly not least is the factory blonde finish. Uncommon on 225's, the blonde makes for an upscale look. Everything on this guitar is original. Knobs, pickup, electronics, the whole show. A great guitar for blues, jazz and rockabilly. Incredible vintage looks and smoking good tone. Old wood? Yup. Old everything. This is a great way to get a vintage Gibson at the fraction of the price of a 50s Les Paul or ES-335. Click Here for more info.

1968 Gibson EB-0 Bass! $1199.99 I love the big tone of a Gibson bass. Nothing beats the growl of that big humbucker. They are easy to play to thanks to a short neck and narrow nut. This 68 EB would make a great addition to your arsenal. The body is mahogany for big tone. The neck is mahogany and features a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. A single humbucking pickup dishes out massive low end. Vintage style tuners and an adjustable bridge round out the hardware. Everything looks original but the mute and bridge cover are on permanent vacation. The color is the original faded cherry. A really great looking bass with killer tone! Click Here for more info.

Made in the USA in the same factory as the most collectible Gibsons, these guitars are a way to get classic tone on a budget. This Broadway is no exception. The hollow, single cutaway body is made of laminated maple. The mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl block inlays. The pickups have been changed from the original mini humbuckers to Seymour Duncan Seth Lovers for great tone. A Tuneomatic bridge, Frequensator tailpiece and Gibson branded Kluson tuners round it out. The finish is a nice sunburst that compliments the tortoise pickguard. A great jazz, blues, or rockabilly archtop! Click Here for more info.

A very cool guitar at an easy to handle price! SOLD!

1980 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe! SOLD! Les Paul Deluxes just don't get any respect! They have long been overshadowed by Customs and Standards. Sadly overlooked in my opinion because a Gibson mini humbucker through a good amp can be a mind altering experience. Nice tight tone with better upper mids and highs than most "mudbuckers". This 1980 Deluxe is a good example of the breed. Mahogany body with a maple top. 3 piece maple neck (which some feel are more stable) sports a rosewood board with trapezoid fingerboard inlays. Dual mini hums dish out cool and bright tones. Tuneomatic and stopbar for added sustain. This one has had a tuner change and now sports a more recent set of Kluson style tuners. They work well. The black finish contrasts nicely with the cream plastic and binding. A really hip guitar for the bucks! SOLD!

The laminated maple neck features a bound, rosewood fingerboard with split diamond inlays. The guitar is fitted with a rare and collectible Gibson McCarty pickup and pickguard. 1990's Epiphone Chet Atkins! SOLD! Directly from the X-Files, I present this cool Epiphone Chet Atkins hollowbody! I've heard rumors of them existing and seen them mentioned in books but I've never seen one in the flesh. Not to be confused with the Elitist series, this is more than likely a Korean made guitar. Again, I've never seen another. A prototype? A one off? Who knows. I can only guess at the specs but it looks to have a semi hollow maple body with a spruce top. The neck features a rosewood fingerboard with thumbprint inlays. Dual humbuckers dish out nice tone. A Tuneomatic bridge, Grover tuners (look to have been upgraded as evidenced by some screw holes), and a Frequensator tailpiece round out the hardware. There's evidence it had a Bigsby tailpiece in the past. The finish is black and looks very cool against the chrome hardware. A hip, affordable version of Gibson's classic! SOLD!

1953 Epiphone Zephyr Emperor Regent! SOLD! Epiphone's built in the pre-Gibson days are some of my favorite guitars. They are absolutely gorgeous to look at, are built great and sound great. Many folks would say that an Epi would beat a Gibson in terms of tone. I've played many Epi's from the golden age and agree that many will meet or exceed a comparable Gibson L-5, ES-5 or Super 400. Top notch guitars and they are priced very reasonably on the vintage market. This Emperor is no exception. A massive 17.5 inches wide at the lower bout means a killer look and big tone. The top is spruce while the back and sides are nicely figured maple. The laminated maple neck features a multiple bound rosewood fingerboard with gorgeous pearl and abalone inlays. A trio of New York single coils are hooked to a cool push button selector. Lots of interesting tones! Art deco tuners, a Frequensator tailpiece and floating bridge round out the hardware. This example is finished in a gorgeous sunburst that really accentuates the beauty of the wood. The guitar features incredible multiple binding, inlays and gold plated hardware as you would expect from a top of the line instrument. The Emperor Zephyr Regent was Epi's top of the line electric in the 50s. The features were comparable to a Gibson ES-5 or Guild X-350 and the price tag was like an L-5 CES or Super 400. This is a great guitar for a jazz, country, rockabilly or Americana player looking for real vintage vibe and tone. SOLD!
