1988 Fender Custom 52 Eldorado Leather Bound Telecaster! SOLD! I had started this project with a set of Eldorado dress up parts. Hand engraved and mega expensive, these are the ticket for a full on cowboy Tele build. Go to www.eldoradostraps.com and check them out. Incredible quality and attention to detail with a price tag to match. $335 for the bridge, control plate, neck pickup cover and knobs. Another $79 for the engraved neck plate and a whopping $279 for the pickguard. $693 spent and I didn't even have anything to bolt them to!  While attending a guitar show down south, the next piece of the puzzle arrived. Sitting in a dealer's booth was the craziest Tele body I had ever seen. Covered in leatherette material, it featured cool tooled designs. It's looks to be the exact same material Fender used on its deluxe Western hardshell case as well as several custom shop amps. I quickly grabbed it before anyone else could snatch it and continued the Cowboy Tele build plans. I have no idea who made the body but it looks American factory made with nice workmanship. I suspect that it is ash or perhaps even pine. I haven't seen one before or since that is quite like it. The final piece of the puzzle was the neck. I managed to grab a nice 1988 American Vintage 1952 Telecaster reissue neck to complete the project. Solid maple with a killer vintage look. Bigger frets were added for killer playability. A set of Kluson style tuners provide rock solid performance. To deliver the tone, a set of American Vintage reissue Tele pickups were installed along with a top notch wiring harness and electronics with an Electrosocket jack. It was finally together so what to carry it in? A genuine Fender Western tooled leatherette hardshell case of course! It perfectly matches the vibe of the guitar. SOLD!

2008 Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster Tele NOS! SOLD! In 1950 Leo Fender set the world on fire by introducing the Broadcaster. The Broadcaster convinced conservative instrument makers that this electric guitar thing was more than a fad and many went to work on their own products. The Gretsch company had called some of their drum line "Broadkaster" and asked Leo to stop using that name. Fender sales honcho Don Randall came up with the name TELECASTER to replace the Broadcaster name on the fledging solid body. In the interim, Fender simply clipped the "Broadcaster" logo off their decals. These guitars became known as No-Casters by collectors as they had no model name. Fender recreates this iconic guitar with this amazing reissue. Built in the USA by the Custom Shop, this guitar is an incredible tribute to a vintage original. The body is ash for killer tone. 2007 Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster Tele Relic! SOLD! In 1950 Leo Fender set the world on fire by introducing the Broadcaster. Fender sales honcho Don Randall came up with the name TELECASTER to replace the Broadcaster name on the fledging solid body.
