Super rare! Only 75 made! A few years back, Gibson was on a clip making special guitars for corporate clients. They made guitars for Indian Motorcycles, Zippo lighters, Budweiser, and Jim Beam, among others. All of these guitars were for promotional use and made in limited numbers. Most were made in the Custom Shop. This Jim Beam Les Paul is a cool one. Basically a Les Paul Studio with a screwed on plastic top with Jim Beam logos. It will make you a star at your next bar gig. The body is mahogany. The rounded profile mahogany neck features an ebony fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. Pickups are appear to be Gibson's 490 series humbuckers. A Stopbar tailpiece, Tuneomatic bridge and Grover Rotomatic tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is black lacquer set off by chrome hardware. A really cool looking Les Paul that would be equally at home on stage as it would behind the bar!
This Les Paul plays and sounds great. The neck is straight, the action is good and the frets are fine. The pickups sound awesome and everything works as it should. This is a clean guitar too. Collector owned, it has seen little playtime. It shows very light playwear and scratches. Very clean. Comes in hardshell case with certificate.
This Les Paul will make you a hero at your next show. It will pay for itself within a few gigs after you tally up the free shots of Beam you'll get from fans. It would also look awesome in your trophy room or in a bar or restaurant. A very rare instrument.
