I’ve had several of these Firebird Studios and I'm always impressed by the rocking tone and feel. Gibson’s Firebird has long been one of the most unique instruments out there! It doesn’t get much more rock n roll. The Firebird Studio is a stripped down rock machine. The body is mahogany for big tone. The one piece mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. 490R and 498T humbuckers dish out big tone. A Tuneomatic bridge, Stopbar tailpiece and Grover tuners round out the hardware. The finish is cherry red lacquer and is contrasted by a single ply white pickguard. An incredible guitar in terms of looks and performance!
This Firebird plays and sounds great. The neck is straight and the action is low. The pickups and electronics sound great. Very versatile. This is a solid used guitar. It shows light pick and clearcoat scratches, light to moderate belt scratches and some light indents and dings. A good looking example in solid used condition. Comes in original hardshell case.
I’ve always admired the looks and sound of a Gibson Firebird. This example is finished in a classic color. Gibson has discontinued the Firebird Studio and as a result, I always get tons of interest on any used ones I offer. Here's a nice one at a good price.
