2004 Fender Highway Telecaster! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! Looking for a real USA MADE Tele? Fender’s Highway One Series has long been one of my favorites! Great American made tone and features at a great price! The body is alder for killer tone. The one piece, modern C shaped maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets. A duo of hot Alnico 3 magnet single coils dish out classic tones. A 3 saddle string through bridge and American Standard sealed tuners round out the package. This example is finished in classic sunburst and is set off by a white pickguard and chrome hardware. The finishes on all Highway Ones are a thin satin matte lacquer that really lets the tone out. It ages well too and makes for a cool and natural relic vibe! What a guitar for the bucks! Like most Highway Ones I’ve had in stock, this example is a fine guitar. Good feel and tone. The big frets make big blues bends as easy as pie. The electronics and pickups work and sound great. This would make a good guitar for a player. it's already getting a natural relic look from use. It shows moderate playwear, moderate scratches and a few dents and dings. Not for a collector but a cool piece for the gigging musician. Comes in a gigbag. Fender’s Highway One series has long been one of my favorites. Made in the USA with tone and feel that rival and sometimes beat the more expensive American Standard and American Deluxe Series. Top notch with a cool vibe. I hardly see them in stores and suspect that Fender will soon discontinue them in favor of the new American Special series. Here's one that's ready to go.
