2003 Fender Japan Antigua Telecaster Reissue! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! Love 'em or hate 'em you gotta admit Antigua is one of the most unique colors in Fender's line. Late 70s Antigua Strats and Teles have always been one of my favorites for their hip looks. This Fender Japan reissue has the vibe of the expensive originals! Check out the cool Antigua finish on the body AND pickguard. Dig on the 70s style logo. Wow, you could fool someone with one of these! Fender Japan has always been the player's choice for cool and vibey guitars built to the highest standards of quality. Many players would take a Japanese built Fender over a USA one any day of the week. Top notch attention to detail and workmanship here. Alder body for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 7.25 inch radius maple neck with 21 frets. Dual single coil pickups for classic tone. String through, 3 saddle bridge and Fender F tuners for rock solid performance. The string trees, nut and saddles have all been upgraded to graphite on this example. The Antiguas were a limited run and are no longer available. Get this one while you can! Like most Fender Japan guitars I've played this one has nice feel and good tone. The neck feel great and the action is nice. The pickups sound good and all electronics work fine. This is a solid used guitar. It shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches as well as a few indents and dings. Comes in gigbag. I just sold my last original 1979 Antigua Strat for $2500! In many ways I prefer the quality of this reissue. Fender Japan stuff has seen some big price increases on the used market as players discover how hip and playable these guitars really are.
