1997 Fender American Stratocaster with EMG Upgrades! $824.99

Here's a great American made Strat with some killer upgrades! Classic Strat feel with modern feel and tone. The body is alder for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. The pickups have been upgraded to a set of active EMG SAs and the tone controls have been upgraded to EMG's EXG and SPC preamps.  Click HERE to learn about the EMG system. A 2 point trem offers smooth whammy action while sealed tuners offer rock solid performance. I believe this example is finished in Shoreline Gold. More of a silver color but that's what Fender called it, so.... A great guitar for the gigging player!

This Strat is made for the player. Tons of versatility form the pickup arrangement. The neck is ready for the blues and rock player thanks to some big frets and a flat radius. Bends are easy and playability is excellent. The frets appear to have been dressed a little lower than stock. The neck is straight and the action is low on this one. The pickups sound great and everything works as it should. Condition wise, this is a solid used guitar. It shows light pick and clearcoat scratches, light to moderate indents and dings, a paint chip on the lower horn and some wear on the fingerboard. Nothing major for a player. Comes in an aftermarket hardshell case.

This is a great guitar for a gigging player. It would cost you a fortune to buy a Strat and upgrade to these specs. A new American Standard Strat will set you back $999 at the superstores. The pickups are another $199 and the EMG pots will cost you an additional $96. Your total is $1294 before the labor for installation. Here's one for a lot less that's ready to go.
