1987 Fender American Standard Stratocaster! SOLD!

Hard to believe but this one is twenty five years old! From the late 80s when Fender was finally getting their act back together and making some great guitars. These 80s Strats are the beginning of the modern American Standards. The body is alder for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius maple fingerboard with 22 frets. A trio of single coil pickups deliver classic tone. The 2 pint trem and sealed tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is Fender's classic sunburst and is set off by white plastic. Everything is jake under the hood with the correct pickups, late 86 pots and 87 date codes on the neck. Pretty common for these E3 serial numbers to actually be 86 or 87s. A nice example!

This is a great Strat that plays and sounds very nice. The neck is straight, the action is good and the frets are fine. The pickups sound great and everything works as it should. Condition wise, this one has been well taken care of. It shows normal signs of use including light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches as well as some indents and dings. Still nice looking for its age. Comes in original hardshell case.

Fender's American Standard Strat has always been a great performer. Off the shelf, they offer players pretty much everything they could want from a Strat. Here's a great 25 year old example with nice vibe at a great price.
