Fender’s American Series offers MADE IN THE USA quality along with top notch features. The body is made of premium ash for good tone and weight. The modern C shaped maple neck features a 34 inch scale, 9.5 inch radius maple fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets. An American Series Split coil humbucker offers big tone. The bass can be strung through the body or through the bridge for added versatility. A High Mass Vintage bridge and open back cast tuners keep it rock solid. This example is finished in a very hip Butterscotch Blonde color for a cool vintage vibe. The pickguard has been upgraded to a nice tortoise shell colored one but the original black guard is included as well. Thanks to the best features, the American Series continues to be the choice of many gigging players.
This bass has good tone and nice feel. The neck has good action and the frets are good. The pickup and electronics work fine. A good bass. This is a solid used bass for a player. It shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches. The back shows some heavier belt wear and the instrument shows some dents and dings. Fine for a player. Comes in original hardshell case.
Fender’s American series has long been the choice of gigging players. Good features and nice quality. A new one will set you back $1099 in stores. Why not save some dough on a used one?
