Fender's Jaguar was once the top of the line model and is still loved by surfers, punkers, rockers and just about anyone that can appreciate cool looks and tone. If you're looking for the closest thing to a vintage Jag without having to mortgage the house, check out the Thin Skin series. The Thinskin series was exclusively offered by a few premier dealers. They were top notch variations of the already excellent American Vintage reissues and sported some cool upgrades. Thin nitro lacquer finishes, big frets and special pickups were offered. This one has all the right details. The body is alder for snappy tone and light weight. The 24 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 6105 frets. Two special design American Vintage Jaguar single coils dish out retro tone. Jag vibrato, adjustable bridge and Kluson style tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is a gorgeous Thin Skin nitro lacquer Shell Pink. This finish is just like the expensive Custom Shop instruments and replicates the look and feel of the original vintage guitar. The Thin Skin models are perhaps the best Jaguars you can buy!
This is a great playing and sounding Jag. The 60s C shaped neck is very comfortable and the 6105 frets make for easy bends. A great feeling and sounding guitar. This is a very nice used guitar. It shows only the lightest signs of playwear. Most would consider it in new old stock condition. It shows a little finish flaw near the neck pocket but you would have to search to find it. Comes in original hard shell case with a pile of case candy.
This is a killer guitar with awesome vibe. A regular American Vintage Jaguar will cost you $1699 in the superstores but won't give you the upgraded features or cool Thin Skin finish. Here's an even better looking and sounding performer for less!
