2004 Gretsch 6120 SSU Setzer Signature! SOLD!

Click any picture for supersize view!

The Setzer Signature models have long been regarded as one of the best Gretsches you can buy. All of Brian’s best mods along with killer looks. This 2004 model is no exception and is one of the Fender supervised models incorporating all of the new improvements. The body is made of tiger flamed (Look at the pics!), laminated maple for killer tone. It features the famous trestle bracing as do Brian’s famous 6120’s for more sustain and better resistance to feedback. The 2 piece maple neck features a 9.45 inch radius fingerboard and a comfy V shaped profile. Very easy to play and great feel. Dual TV Jones Classic pickups deliver that great Gretsch sound. Top notch CTS and Switchcraft electronics complete the picture. A Bigsby B-6 vibrato along with a pinned Tuneomatic bridge and Sperzel tuners keep this one rock solid. Other cool touches include a Derlin nut, and dice knobs (regular knobs and plain pickguard are installed. Dice knobs and Setzer guard is included). A really well thought out guitar with killer features and incredible looks!

Like most Japanese Gretsches, this guitar shows good attention to detail and nice feel. The neck shape is very comfy and the action is great. Very nice feel. The TV Jones pickups are the tone you want from a Gretsch. Clear with lots of presence but they can bite when you dig in. This is a solid used guitar. It shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches, some indents and a bit of hardware corrosion. It comes with a pile of case candy and the original hardshell case which has a busted latch.

Gretsch fans waited a long time to get this guitar. This one is the closest they have gotten to a real 59 6120. The big online dealers charge a whopping $2899 for this model. I can save you a ton of cash on a used one.
