Gibson’s Les Paul Standard is a dream guitar for many folks. A classic combo of looks, tone and craftsmanship. Many player love the 80s Standards for their return to quality and cool specs. All of the classic ingredients of the Les Paul tonal recipe are here. The mahogany body adds warmth while the carved, figured maple top adds brightness and beauty. The 1 piece mahogany slim taper shape neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays. Factory Gibson Patent Number Stamped pickups dish out classic tone with increased bite and midrange. A Stopbar tailpiece and Tuneomatic bridge keep it rock solid. The tuners have been upgraded to Grover Rotomatic locking units. The original Kluson style units should drop right in with no issues. Original pots and electronics. This example is finished in a very attractive sunburst. A really great looking guitar. Accept no substitutes, own a real Les Paul!

This Les Paul has nice tone and good feel. The pickups sound great and the slim neck is easy to play. The frets show normal wear but play well. Everything works as it should. This is a 25 year old instrument that shows normal wear and signs of use. Light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches, moderate belt wear as well as some indents and dings. There;s some finish checking including a line coming from the Stopbar tailpiece. A cool looking guitar with nice vibe. Comes in a Gibson Protector case.

I always love to have some nice Les Pauls to sell. It's getting increasingly harder for me to keep them in stock. I'm literally paying what I used to sell them for a few short years back. Here's one with that isn't sporting that Norlin ketchup and mustard vibe at a good price. A new Standard will cost you $2500 and up. Here's a 20+ year old one for a lot less.
