The last of the breed! In 2008 Gibson changed the specs on the Les Paul Standard. This has got to be one of the last guitars they made with the old (and somewhat more liked) specs. A classic combo of looks, tone and quality. The newest Standards are some of the best yet having all of the trademark features and 100% of that Gibson tone. The mahogany body adds warmth while the carved, figured maple top adds brightness and beauty. The 1 piece mahogany 60’s shape neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays. Burstbucker Pro pickups dish out classic tone with increased bite and midrange. A Stopbar tailpiece, Tuneomatic bridge and Kluson style tuners round out the package. This example is finished in gorgeous rootbeer lacquer. Very cool looking and it really accentuates the flame maple top. A really great looking guitar. Accept no substitutes, own a real Les Paul!
This Les Paul has nice tone and good feel. The pickups sound great and the neck is easy to play. The frets are good and everything works as it should. This is a nice used Les Paul. It shows light pick and clearcoat scratches as well as some very light playwear. Very nice looking. Comes in original hardshell case.
This is a gorgeous guitar with a killer top. A new flame top Les Paul Standard will cost you $2699 at the superstores. Here's a nice one in a cool color for less.
