2006 Gibson Gothic II Les Paul! SOLD!

Click any picture for supersize view!

Not your dad's Les Paul! Gibson introduced the Gothic series a few years back to offer metal guitarists a stark new take on the old classics. This is the rarely seen Gothic II with factory EMGs.  This thing is black. Devoid of any flash. Sometimes if you stare into the abyss long enough, the Gibson Gothic Les Paul will stare back. A metal axe to be sure. Solid mahogany body with a maple top for excellent sustain. The neck is solid mahogany and features an ebony fingerboard with no inlays. EMG 81 and 85 humbuckers deliver big tone. Nashville Tuneomatic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece for dependable performance. The Grover Rotomatic tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is flat black satin matte and set off by black hardware and a black hardware. This guitar is so dark that you may be able to see light being sucked into its powerful gravitational pull.  Truly no Gibson has been this metal!

This Les Paul has good feel and nice tone. The neck is straight and the action is good. The pickups are loud and powerful. This is a good used guitar for the player. Thanks to its factory satin (Satan?)finish, it shows wear easily. The guitar shows scratches, dent, and dings you would expect from a player's guitar. Not a wussy collector piece.  It comes with an aftermarket hardshell case which is missing its handle. This will allow you to practice your curls and develop Glen Danzig like biceps.

Gibson no longer offers the Gothic series. They have actually become more popular in recent years as players discover their mean looks and big metal tone. This one has a cool vibe and is priced much lower than a garden variety Les Paul.
