1982 Gibson Les Paul Custom! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! The Les Paul Custom has long been the king of Lesters! I’ve always been a sucker for fancy inlays and binding and the Custom has these in spades! Nothing sounds like a Custom either thanks to a proven recipe of materials. The body is made of mahogany and the top is carved maple for big time sustain and bite. The 3 piece maple neck features a bound ebony fingerboard with fancy pearl block inlays. The headstock face features multiple binding and the trademark Gibson split diamond inlay and logo. Dual patent number Tim Shaw Gibson humbuckers deliver big tone. A Tuneomatic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece offer unsurpassed performance. This example features the cool flip out Schaller made tuners as well. Finished in a gorgeous wine red lacquer, this example has a cool vibe. A really killer looking, sounding and performing 29 year old guitar! This Les Paul has the feel and tone Customs are known for. The neck is straight and the frets are good. Nice feel. The original pickups and electronics sound and work great. No breaks or repairs. Condition wise, this one looks nice for its age. It shows average playwear, light to moderate pick, clearcoat, and belt scratches. A little fade on the gold hardware. Nothing major. Comes period correct no logo blue interior hardshell case. The Les Paul Custom has long been a dream guitar for many players. Top notch looks, quality and tone. A new one will cost you $3899 at the superstores. Wouldn’t you rather have a vintage one for less? ST#SG10X2/USA91889XXXX112411 |
