Click any picture for supersize view! Gibson's Firebird has long been one of the coolest looking guitars on the block! Created by automotive designer Ray Dietrich, this timeless guitar still delivers the goods. The neck through body is made of laminated mahogany and walnut. It offers a unique, bright tone without a lot of the muddiness you expect from a Gibson. The bound rosewood fingerboard features pearloid trapezoid inlays. The Firebird's pickups are where the magic is for me. Hot yet bright with nice mids. A Stopbar tailpiece, Tuneomatic bridge and banjo tuners complete the package. The finish is Gibson's classic sunburst lacquer. You can't go wrong with a Firebird! I've always loved the feel of a 'bird and this one is no exception. Good feeling neck with nice action. The pickups sound great! Lots of tones. This is a nice used guitar. It shows light pick and clearcoat scratches as well as some light playwear. Very nice looking. Comes in original hardshell case. I love unique guitars so the Firebird has always gotten good marks from me. Cool looks and even cooler tone. Vintage Firebirds are bringing big bucks. Straight 60s models are cost more than I paid for my car. Even Medallion and Bicentennial reissues from the 70s have been performing well. I've always felt Firebirds have been one of the best bargains out there. A new Firebird V will cost you $1649 in the superstores. Save some cash on this nice used one!
