An incredible recreation of an iconic Strat! Arguably one of the most recognizable Strats in history, Rory Gallagher's Strat is well known amongst fans. Fender has painstakingly recreated every chip, dent, ding and flaw in this incredible guitar. Quality Custom Shop craftsmanship and materials throughout. The body is select alder for great tone. the 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets. A trio of Custom Shop 60s Single coils deliver great tone. Just like Rory's original, 5 Sperzel tuners and 1 Gotoh tuners keep it rock solid. A vintage style trem delivers sweet vibrato. The finish is classic sunburst distressed to look just like Rory's. The old legend was that Rory's Strat was buried in the back yard for years hence its appearance. This Strat has that vibe. A killer Strat with tons of mojo!
This Strat plays and sounds great. The neck is straight. The action is low and the frets are good. The pickups sound awesome. The electronics work as they should. This Strat was collector owned and saw little playtime. You can't really call a relic mint but this one was hardly used at all. Pretty much like buying one off the shelf at a superstore. It comes in its original case with cert and a pile of paperwork.
This Strat oozes vibe and tone. If you want the ultimate Relic Strat, here you go. Incredible heavy aging and wear. An instant bar band road warrior. A new one will cost you a whopping $3999 at the superstores. Save big time on this nice used example.
