2006 Fender Eric Johnson Stratocaster! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! I’ve been really impressed by the tone and feel of most every Eric Johnson I’ve had in stock. Very nice for the bucks with features and quality approaching Custom Shop levels. EJ is well known for his gear choices and his attention to detail didn’t go to waste on this signature model. Very well thought out with a ton of great play-centric mods. The body is 2 piece alder with the deep contours of the earliest Strats. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 12 inch radius maple fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets. A trio of Special Design Eric Johnson single coils deliver big time tone. A vintage trem and Kluson style tuners round out the package. The finish is a 50s style blonde lacquer that looks great. Very Mary Kay Strat vibe. The details are where it counts and EJ really laid it out on this one. The pickup mounting screws are countersunk, the neck to headstock area has been smoothed, vintage unpainted style trem block with no back cover and 57 style body with deep contours. These add up to a better sounding, better playing guitar. The Eric Johnson Strat makes for the ultimate guitar for many players! Thanks to a comfy soft V shaped neck, flatter radius and big frets, the EJ Strat is very nice to play. Great for blues and other styles, bends are easy and fretting is sure. The pickups sound and work great on this example. A good gigging guitar. Condition wise, this is a nice used guitar. It shows light pick and clearcoat scratches as well as some light indents. Very nice. Comes in original hardshell case. For my money, the EJ is the ultimate non Custom Shop Strat. Very playable with some great tones. A new one will set you back $1899 in the superstores. Why not buy a used one and save some cash? ST#SG7X5/USEJ06949XX112411 |
