2001 Fender American Stratocaster with Upgrades! SOLD!

Click any picture for supersize view!

Classic Strat tone and looks! This one is even better thanks to some killer upgrades! Fender's American Series has always featured top notch specs. The body is alder for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. The neck has been steel wooled for a smooth feel. This guitar has been mega upgraded with a Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues pickup at the neck, Dimarzio HS-2 in the middle and a Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Solo at the bridge. This combo offers players a ton of vintage sounds with modern performance.  A 2 point trem offers smooth whammy action while sealed tuners keep it solid. This example is finished in classic sunburst and is set off with chrome hardware. A great Strat that's ready for the player!

Thanks to a big frets and a flatter fingerboard, American Series Strats generally play great. Bends are easy and playability is excellent. The neck is straight and the action is low on this one. The pickups sound great and everything works as it should. Condition wise, this one is a nice used guitar. It shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches as well as some light indents. Nothing major. Comes in a Fender molded hardshell case.

Fender's new prices seem to go up every year. A new American Standard will set you back a whopping $999in stores. The pickup upgrade will run you another $185 plus installation costs. Here's a great way to get an awesome guitar at a great price!
