1995 Fender American Standard Stratocaster Matching Headstock Limited Edition! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! A very cool and rare Strat in a great color! In 1995, Fender offered a limited run of American Series Strats in the coolest vintage style colors with custom matching headstocks. Daphne Blue, Surf Green, Ocean Turquoise, Olympic White, Candy Apple Red and Burgundy Mist were available. Each color was offered for 2 months, then discontinued. Some colors are more rare than others. I've had Candy Apple Red, Burgundy Mist, Ocean Turquoise and Olympic White. I've never had Daphne Blue. This is the first Surf Green example I've owned. Made in the USA, these guitars had great features. The body is alder for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale modern C shape maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets. A trio of American single coils deliver trademark Strat tone. A 2 point trem and sealed tuners keep everything rock solid. The gorgeous Surf Green paint is set off with white plastic and chrome hardware. A very hip and quite uncommon guitar for your collection! This is a good playing and sounding Strat. The neck is straight and the action is good. It has had a refret with larger frets in the past. The pickups sound great and the electronics work as they should. Condition wise, this is probably one of the most used 90s guitars I've had. Mega player relic vibe happening here. Lots of dents, dings, scratches, finish wear and chips here. Definitely for a player. Comes in an aftermarket hardshell case. Here's great opportunity to grab a unique Strat at a good price. Killer looks and killer performance in a very collectible color. Fender certainly doesn't offer Surf Green much less a matching headstock without spending big bucks in the Custom Shop. ST#SG8X2/USAN505695XX112411 |
