2004 Fender American Standard 50th Anniversary Stratocaster! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! In 2004, Fender introduced a few special models to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Strat. The American Standard Series Strat recalled the classic 1954 originals and had some nice features you won't find on other American Standards. The body is ash for great tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. A trio of Custom Shop 54 Single Coil pickups deliver buzz free vintage tones. The pickups are hooked to a 5 way switch for tons of tones. A modern 2 point trem and sealed tuners keep it all rock solid. All hardware is chrome plated for a classy look including the special 50th anniversary neck plate. A 2 tone sunburst finish adorns this beauty for a cool 50s look. A great instrument that would make Leo proud. I love the feel and tone of the American series. The modern shaped neck and big frets make for an easy to play guitar that can handle big blues bends. The Custom Shop pickups have good tone and offer tons of versatility. This is a nice, collector owned Strat. It shows some light pick and clearcoat scratches as well as some light playwear. Very nice looking. Comes in original tweed case with 50th Anniversary embroidered logo. Collectors have snapped up many of these unique guitars. They offer unique beauty and great features. I’ve seen them go for as high as $1500 in the past. Here’s a nice used one that will save you some bucks! ST#SG8X1USAZ4153992XX112411 |
