1995 Fender Custom Shop 1954 Stratocaster Aztec Gold! SOLD!

Here's a killer Custom Shop Strat with awesome looks and tone! Many players dig these earlier Custom Shop models citing better attention to detail and lower production numbers. Although not a relic, this one would come from the Vince Cunetto era and would be of interest to Cunetto fans. Made in the USA Custom Shop quality throughout. The body is presumably ash which would be the correct body wood for a 54. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 7.25 inch radius maple fingerboard with 21 frets. Check out the cool birdseye figure on this example. A trio of 54 single coils deliver big tone. A vintage style trem and Kluson style tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is a gorgeous Aztec Gold lacquer set off by chrome hardware and white plastic. A really cool looking Strat.

This Strat plays and sounds great. The neck is straight and the action is good. The frets show some light to moderate wear but play fine. The pickups deliver variety of tones. All of the electronics work as they should. This is a solid used example. It shows light pick and clearcoat scratches and light to moderate indents and dings. Used but still good looking. No cert or paperwork. Comes in Fender tweed hardshell case which shows some staining.

This is a killer Strat in an equally killer color. Gold looks awesome on a Strat and is fairly tough to find. Fender no longer offers a 1954 reissue. The closest you can get is a 56 reissue and you are limited to the more pedestrian color choices. Here's a cool guitar in a super hip color.
