I've always loved the feel and tone of an American Strat. Fender has made many player-centric upgrades to their American instruments over the years. Vintage looks and modern playability. The body is alder for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inc radius maple fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. A trio of American Standard single coils dish out tones from clean to mean. A 2 point trem offers smooth whammy action while sealed tuners keep it solid. This example is finished in a classic sunburst. A great Strat that's ready for the player!
Thanks to a big frets and a flatter fingerboard, American Series Strats generally play great. Bends are easy and playability is excellent. The neck is straight and the action is low on this one. The pickups sound great and everything works as it should. Condition wise, this one is a nice used guitar. It shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches as well as some light indents and dings. Nothing major. Comes in a Fender molded hardshell case that needs its retainer strap reglued.
Fender's new prices seem to go up every year. A new American Standard will set you back a whopping $999 in stores. Here's a nice used one for less. BUY IT NOW and own a great Strat!
