2011 Fender Japan Pawn Shop '72! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! Fender's new Pawn Shop series offers players an alternate universe version of classic Fender designs. Cool looks and tones at a great price. Made in Japan to the highest standards of quality. The Pawn Shop 72 is what would happen if a Strat and Tele Thinline had a baby. The semi hollow body is alder for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets. A Fender Enforcer humbucker teams up with a Fender Wide Range Humbucker and is controlled by a volume and blend pot. A string through hardtail bridge and Fender F tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is a gorgeous surf green and is set off by a white guard and chrome hardware. A very cool guitar that screams retro! Like most Japanese Fenders, this guitar plays and sounds great. The action is nice and the frets are fine. The pickups deliver a variety of tones. Everything works as it should. This is a clean guitar. Collector owned, it was recently purchased new and traded in at my shop. Very little playwear or signs of use. Many would call it new old stock condition. Comes in a gigbag. The Pawnshop 72 is a great guitar for anyone looking for retro vibe in a great performing package. Cool looks, cool tone and great feel all at a good price. $799 in superstores, here's one for less. |
