You can't beat a Gibson Melody Maker when it comes down to tone for the bucks! All of the great quality of Gibson's golden age without the crazy vintage price tags. Old wood mahogany body and neck with a rosewood fingerboard mean a great platform for tone. The single coil pickup delivers great tone. A wraparound bridge keeps it rock solid. This example is 100% original with no issues or repairs. You would be hard pressed to find a vintage guitar that delivers so much tone for such little money.
This Melody Maker feels and sounds good. the neck is straight, the action is fine and the frets are good. The pickup delivers clean and clear tones. Everything works as it should. This is a nice vintage guitar. Well taken care of. It shows normal checking, scratches, dents and dings as you would expect from a nearly 50 year old guitar but still looks nicer than many. Very good eye appeal. Comes in a gigbag.
Melody Makers are a great deal. Golden age Gibson quality and tone at a great price. There's hardly a better value out there.
