A rocking guitar from the craftsmen at Larrivee guitars! Jean Larivee's gorgeous acoustic guitars won many fans thanks to their top notch quality, great attention to detail and excellent tone. Larrivee's new electric instruments offer rockers the same premium experience. Made in the USA with super quality woods throughout. The body is South American mahogany for great tone and sustain. The 25.5 inch scale South American mahogany neck features an Indian rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets. The neck is attached with an extra long mortise and tenon joint for superior tone transfer. Larrivee custom wound P-90s are hooked to CTS pots, Luxe Bumblebee caps, and Switchcraft electronics. Tonepros Stopbar and Tuneomatic team with Kluson vintage style tuners for rock solid performance. The finish is a very cool Arctic White satin with natural neck. It has a cool vintage look and will wear in a very vibey way. As an added bonus, this guitar is a prototype. The P-90 model isn't available in this satin white color. Cool and rare! If you're looking at a Les Paul Junior or other similar no nonsense rocker, this Larrivee deserves some serious consideration!
Like most Larrivees I've had in stock, this guitar plays and sounds great. The neck is straight and the action is good. The frets are great and the setup is fine. The handwound P-90s sound awesome. All the electronics work as they should. Condition wise, this is a nice used guitar. Collector owned, it was recently bought new and traded in. It shows very light playwear and scratches and a little fading on the nickel hardware. A nice looking guitar. Comes in original hardshell case.
The RS2 is a great guitar for players that want handmade quality at an amazing price. California made, this guitar is a no frills tone machine. A new RS2 will cost you over $1200 in stores. Here's a nice used prototype example for less.
