1985 Ibanez Roadstar II Standard RB850 Bass! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! Here's a cool Japanese Ibanez for not a whole lotta cash! Players love the look, tone and quality of Japanese guitars. Many musicians prefer the playability and attention to detail of Japanese instruments over much more expensive American products. This Ibanez Roadstar RB850 is a great example of an 80s Japanese instrument. Cool looks, great feel, good quality and a great price. Nice specs on the one. The body is basswood for good balance and tone. The 34 inch scale maple neck features a Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Dual Ibanez Lo-B pickups deliver big tone. An Accucast bridge and Velvet tune machines keep it rock solid. The finish is a classy black pearl. Very cool look. A very useful instrument for not a lot of bucks! This Ibanez plays and sounds great. The neck is straight, the action is good and the frets are fine. The pickups deliver a variety of tones. Very nice instrument for the bucks. Condition wise, this is a solid used instrument. More for a player than a collector type, it shows moderate pick, clearcoat and belt scratches as well as some dents and dings. Comes in a Yamaha gigbag. This bass is an excellent value. Killer good looks, nice build quality and an ultra low price. You really can't beat it. The same money would buy you a newer Chinese built instrument but it probably won't be as nice nor as unique as this Roadstar. |
