1991 Bass Collection by SGC Nanyo Fretless! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! Here's a great bang for the buck bass. Good qaulity, fell and tone at a great price. SGC Nanyo Bass Collection instruments were made in the 80s and 90s and were popular in Europe. These instruments were comfortable, well made and great sounding at a low price. This fretless is a good example of the breed. The lightweight body is made of ash for good tone. The long scale neck features a fretless rosewood fingerboard. A split coil P and a J bridge pickup deliver a variety of tones. Top quality hardware include Gotoh tuners and a Gotoh bridge. The finish is class is black. There's not a lot of info out there on these but articles like THIS seem, to indicate most folks are very pleased with their bass collection instruments. A really cool contemporary bass bass at a great price! This bass feels and sounds nice for the bucks. The neck is straight and the action is good. Nice sustain and tone that compares to instruments costing 3 times as much. The pickups sound good. the elctronics work as they should but have some occasional intermittent scratchiness. Condition wise, this bass would be better suited to a player than a collector. It shows pick, clearcoat and belt wear commensurate with a player grade instrument. Some dents, chips, and dings as well. Cool vibe. Comes in a molded Peavey hardshell case. You would be hard pressed to find a better bass for the money than this Bass Collection fretless. Sleek, modern looks along with good feel make this bass a great choice. A great deal on a great instrument. |
