The body is solid mahogany and features a carved maple top. The set on 24.75 inch scale mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays. The neck is the new asymmetrical shape as featured on the more expensive Gibson Les Paul Standards. Genuine Gibson USA pickups deliver big tone. A 57 Classic Plus in the bridge teams up with a standard 57 Classic for top notch sounds. 57 Classics are a popular upgrade for many Epi owners. A new set will cost you $200 on their own. The pickups are hooked to Epi's new series/parallel push pull pots. Go from roaring humbucker to clear single coil type sounds. Epi's new Locktone Tuneomatic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece mean better sustain and easy string changes. Grover locking tuners keep it rock solid. Other nice features include Epiphone strap locks, USA made Switchcraft 3 way switch and Mallory tone capacitors. Top notch features! The finish is a gorgeous faded cherry sunburst and is set off by chrome hardware. The whole package comes in an EPiphone hardshell case. A lot of bang for the buck!
I’ve been quite impressed with most recent Epis. The quality is good, they sound great and play fine for the money. An incredible value. This Les Paul is no exception. Good feel and tone for the bucks. Everything works as it should. This is a NEW OLD STOCK guitar. It was leftover stock from a local store and shows only light shopwear. Straight from the stockroom! As nice or nicer than most hanging in the superstores! Comes in an Epiphone hardshell case!
