The Epiphone G-400 is a great GIBSON AUTHORIZED recreation of the classic 62 SG but with a hip aged vibe! Cool small pickguard and batwing outline! The body is mahogany and features the classic SG bevels. The set mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays. Dual alnico magnet humbuckers dish out big tone. Quality hardware includes a Stopbar tailpiece, Tuneomatic bridge and Grover tuners. The finish is a hip satin vintage cherry red. It’s a thin, matte finish for good tone and vintage style looks. A very cool vibe! If you can’t afford the $1400.00+ for the USA made Gibsons, this guitar could be for you!
I’ve been quite impressed with most recent Epis. The quality is good, they sound great and play fine for the money. An incredible value. This SG is no exception. Good feel and tone for the bucks. Everything works as it should. This is a NEW OLD STOCK guitar. It was leftover stock from a local store and shows only light shopwear. Straight from the stockroom! 100% 1st quality. Not a 2nd. As nice or nicer than most hanging in the superstores! Comes in a FREE lightweight gigbag!
