Great tone and looks in an affordable package! Based on a vintage 70s Gibson Les Paul Signature bass, the Jack Casady provides a variety of unique tones. The semi hollow body is made of maple and features a solid mahogany centerblock for good sustain and feedback resistance. The 34 inch scale maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays. The pickups were custom designed by Epiphone/Gibson and Jack. They are voiced to provide the clear, extended range of lo impedance pickups without fancy or confusing active electronics. A 3 position Varitone switch is hooked to an impedance transformer to give tones from clean and clear to warm and growling. Quite versatile. Vintage style tuners and Epi's three point bridge deliver rock solid performance. The finish is Gibson's classic goldtop and is set off by chrome hardware. A great bass for a variety of music styles!
I’ve been quite impressed with most recent Epis. The quality is good, they sound great and play fine for the money. An incredible value. This bass is no exception. Good feel and tone for the bucks. Medium action. Everything works as it should. This is a NEW OLD STOCK instrument. It was leftover stock from a local store and shows only light shopwear. Straight from the stockroom! As nice or nicer than most hanging in the superstores! 100% 1st quality. Not a 2nd.
Here’s a great chance to save some cash on a great bass. New ones are $799 in stores. This one is as nice or nicer than many you will find and is priced lower! Great deal!
