Looking for a nice jazz box? Like other Ibanez guitars of the era, this 1976 2460NT shows great attention to detail, excellent quality and killer performance. Made in the Matsumoku factory as were many of the best Ibanez guitars of this period.  As nice or nicer than many higher priced Gibson L-5s from this same period! I own 3 L-5s personally and this Ibanez compares favorably to them.  Great quality and specs throughout. The hollow body features a spruce top and gorgeous flame maple back and sides.  The laminated maple neck features a bound ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays. I've added some upgrades to this guitar. The pickups are Gibson 57 Classic humbuckers. The pick guard and bracket are from a genuine Gibson Custom Shop L-5. The bridge base and Nashville Tuneomatic are genuine Gibson. Stock Ibanez Sealfast style tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is a gorgeous natural and is set off by gold hardware and tons of inlay and binding. Signed by Ibanez masterbuilder M. Sagihara on the label. A top notch, super quality Japanese archtop!

Recently pro setup, this Ibanez plays and sounds great. Big frets with lots of life left in them, a straight neck and comfortable action make for a great playing guitar. The Gibson pickups sound great with warm and smooth tone. A really great jazz box. Condition wise, this one is nice for its age and shows normal playwear. It shows moderate pick, clearcoat and belt scratches as well as some indents and dings. The original pickguard disintegrated (common in Gibsons as well as Ibanez guitars of the period), so we replaced the guard and bracket. There's an extra screw hole from the old bracket that is almost completely covered by the new one. The guitar had a Bigsby at one point but the holes are covered by the tailpiece. You wouldn't know unless I told you. Pickups were upgraded to a great sounding set of 57 Classics. I don't have the originals. A great guitar that's ready to go. Comes in original hardshell case with cool case candy.

This is a great guitar for a player that wants the look and tone of a Gibson L-5 but without the outrageous price. Many folks would argue that this Ibanez will meet or exceed many 70s Gibsons in tone and quality. With the 57 Classics, it now sports the same pickups as a new L-5. Speaking of new L-5s, a blonde one would cost you $9999 in the superstores. That's an absolutely outrageous amount of cash. Here's a great guitar for a lot less.

SOLD!
