Looking for that honky tonk twang at a low price? Check out the Fender FS-52 lap steel! Reminiscent of Fender's classic 40s and 50s steels, the FS-52 combines good quality with a low price. The body and neck are made of ash, a classic Fender tone wood. The fingerboard is chrome plated for a cool retro look. One single coil pickup delivers big tone. Vintage style tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is classic blonde. A great instrument for traditional country or blues but also a fun addition to any player's arsenal. A really cool instrument for not a lot of cash!
This Fender sounds great. It can be tuned in a variety of ways so you'll be stealin' the blues in no time. The pickup is clean and clear and delivers nice tone. Everything works as it should. This is a nice used instrument. Collector owned, it's seen little playtime. It shows some light clearcoat and pick scratches. Still nice looking. Comes in original hardshell case.
Fender no longer offers the FS-52. A shame really as it's tough to find a good quality steel guitar at a low price. When new, these were $499 at the superstores. Here's one for less.
