A thin satin lacquer, the faded finish not only offers a cool vintage look but makes for a better sounding guitar. The Faded SG Special has almost all of the same features as the much more expensive SG Standard. The solid mahogany body features the unique SG batwing shape. The solid mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Dual 490 Humbuckers dish out killer crunch. A Tuneomatic bridge, Stopbar tailpiece and Kluson style tuners round out the hardware. The faded walnut lacquer finish has a cool vintage vibe. I love the sound of the faded series. Almost everyone I’ve had in stock has an acoustically lively tone. This one is no exception and features a nice neck with good frets. Pickups and electronics work fine. This is a fine guitar for a player. It definitely has the road warrior vibe. Lots of scratches, dents, dings, plating corrosion and finish wear. No repairs or breaks, just honest wear. Not for the collector but a fine addition to a player's arsenal. Comes in a gigbag.
