Fender's Big Apple Strat offers players classic Fender looks and tones but the added versatility of dual humbuckers. Great for blues and hard rock, the Big Apple has been the choice of many players. The American Big Apples were discontinued years ago and have been popular among musicians. Great American made quality and specs. The body is alder for good tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. A pair of factory Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbuckers team up for a variety of sounds. A 2 point trem offers smooth whammy action while sealed tuners keep it rock solid. . This example is finished in Inca silver and is set off by a pearloid pickguard. A great guitar for the gigging player! The Big Apple Strat is made for the player. Tons of versatility from this pickup arrangement. The neck is ready for the blues and rock player thanks to some big frets and a flat radius. Bends are easy and playability is good. The neck is straight and the action is low on this one. The pickups sound great and everything works as it should. Condition wise, this is a fine used guitar. Ready for the player. It shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches , moderate belt scratches and some indents. Still nice looking. Comes in an aftermarket hardshell case. Fender no longer makes an American Big Apple. A real pity as these were great and very versatile instruments. As near as I can tell, Fender no longer offers any American Strat with a dual humbucker pickup arrangement. Don't miss your chance to own a cool guitar. |
