Fender’s American Series offers MADE IN THE USA quality along with top notch features. New and improved this year. The body is made of premium alder for good tone and weight. The modern C shaped maple neck features a 34 inch scale, 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets. An American Series Split coil humbucker offers big tone. The bass can be strung through the body or through the bridge for added versatility. A High Mass Vintage bridge and open back cast tuners keep it rock solid. This example is finished in classic 3 tone sunburst. The pickguard has been upgraded to a vintage reissue gold anodized unit. I don't have the original guard. There's one screw hole that didn't match up on the guard so it was left empty. No new holes. Thanks to the best features, the American Series continues to be the choice of many gigging players.

This bass has good tone and nice feel. The neck has good action and the frets are good. The pickup and electronics work fine. A good bass. This is a clean used bass. It shows light pick and clearcoat wear. Nothing major. Comes in a very beat old aftermarket hardshell case. Functional but not very pretty.

Fender’s American series has long been the choice of gigging players. Good features and nice quality. A new one will set you back $1199.99 in stores. Why not save some dough on a nice used one?
