Based on the Supro Dual Tone, the Airline Twin Tone is heavy on vibe and light in price! Cool looks and great playability add up for a great retro style guitar. The body is basswood for good tone and weight. The 24.75 scale maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and block inlays. Dual Hot Rail humbuckers dish out big tone. A Tuneomatic bridge, chrome trapeze tailpiece and Kluson style tuners keep it rock solid. This example is finished in a gorgeous vintage white. A really hip guitar with great looks and tone!
This Airline plays well, better than many vintage Supros. The neck is straight and the frets are good. The pickups work and sound as they should. Condition wise, it's used but is in nice overall shape. It shows light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches and normal playwear. One ding/chip near the end of the fingerboard. Comes in a gigbag.
Eastwood has done a great job of offering cool looks along with modern feel and tone. If you want the vintage vibe but don't want the bad necks, lousy frets or quirky electronics of an original, this could be your guitar. A new one will set you back $499.00. Why not save some cash?
