2006 Fender Japan Geddy Lee Jazz Bass! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! The Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass is a recreation of the Rush bassist's famous instrument. A great tribute to Rush fans but also an excellent instrument for funk, rock, prog and metal players. Made in Japan to the highest standards of quality. The body is alder for good weight and nice tone. The 34 inch scale maple neck features a bound 9.5 inch radius maple fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets and black block inlays. The nut width is an ultra comfortable 1.50 inches. Dual vintage Jazz Bass single coil pickups dish out classic tone. A Leo Quann Bad Ass bridge and vintage style tuners complete the picture. A Hipshot D tuner has been added for even more versatility. This example is finished in classic black and set off with an upgraded black pickguard. A great bass with tons of low end as well as great definition! This bass play great and has nice feel. The slim neck and comfy neck feel great. Low action and good frets. The pickups sound good and all electronics work as they should. This is a nice used instrument showing some normal play wear. It shows some light to moderate pick and clearcoat scratches as well as moderate belt scratches and a few minor dings near the edge of the body. A great looking bass. Comes in an SKB hardshell case that is identical to the ones offered with the new American Standards. The Geddy Lee Jazz Bass offers classic good looks along with great performance. Nice features and excellent Japanese quality are the trademarks of this instrument. A new one will cost you $1199 at the superstores plus another $134 for the case. Save some cash on a used one! |
