1987 Gibson SG Custom! SOLD!

Click any picture for supersize view!

Attention players! Have you always wanted an SG Custom but couldn't afford the big bucks price? read on! The SG Custom has always been the top of the SG line. The body is solid mahogany for big tone. The mahogany neck features a bound ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays. Gibson 57 Classic humbuckers at the neck and middle team up with a Seymour Duncan (Jeff Beck I think) at the bridge for a variety of tones. I'm including a gold cover for Duncan as well if that's your thing. Grover Rotomatic tuners, a Stopbar tailpiece and Tuneomatic bridge keep it rock solid. Inspired by the original 61 Les Paul SG's, this guitar has a cool vibe. This guitar has had a semi amateur refinish in the original white.  The back of the neck has been stripped. No breaks or repairs evident. A cool guitar at a bargain price!

This SG plays and sounds good. The neck is straight and the action is good. The frets show some wear but play fine. The pickups sound excellent and dish out classic PAF tone. This would be a great guitar for the gigging musician. It would also make a great candidate for a relic makeover. The body has been refinished white, the neck finish is stripped. The guitar shows moderate pick, clearcoat and belt scratches as well as some dents and dings. Normal stuff for a player's guitar. Not for the picky collector types. Comes in original protector case.

When I was a young guy, I would have loved to come across this. A cool SG at a great low price. A new SG Custom will cost you $3799 at the superstores. Here's one for a LOT less.

SOLD!
