The J-45 has become known as ‘The Workhorse” of the Gibson line. This Limited Edition guitar recreates the 1942 original. Limited to 167 pieces, this guitar is a huge step above the regular production J-45s and closer to a vintage instrument. The top is solid Adirondack Red spruce while the back and sides are solid Honduran mahogany. Wide X bracing offers huge projection. The set mahogany neck features a Madagascar rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. A genuine bone nut and saddle team with vintage Kluson style tuners to keep it rock solid. The guitar is constructed with traditional techniques including hot glue. The finish is Gibson's traditional sunburst lacquer. It comes from the factory with the VOS treatment for a cool vintage look. Set off with a teardrop shaped tortoise pickguard and banner headstock inlay, this J-45 has the look of a classic original. Perhaps one of the best sounding recent Gibsons I've ever heard!
This guitar really captures the vibe of an older guitar. It has the tone and projection of a great vintage guitar. Powerful and full bodied. It plays well and has no issues. This is a great opportunity to grab a killer instrument. This is a new old stock guitar. It was leftover stock from a local store and shows only light shopwear. Straight from the stockroom! As nice or nicer than most hanging in the superstores! Comes in original 40s style hardshell case with certificate.
I love a good flat top and this J-45 doesn't disappoint. Great quality and tone. This is a nice guitar to add to your arsenal and I can save you a nice chunk of change. $3149 at the superstores. My price is much, much better. A great looking guitar with tone to spare.
