Easily one of the coolest Strats I've had in stock in a long time! Fender started the Master Design program back in 2004 to allow the Custom Shop Master Builders and opportunity to build guitars that they would play every day. In 2006, Greg Fessler got his turn and designed this incredible Strat. This Master Design instrument was team built in the Custom Shop and was supervised by Greg Fessler. Limited to 100 pieces, this guitar comes with a load of case candy including reproductions of Greg's original notes, a special certificate and a DVD on Greg and the guitar. This is truly a special guitar built with the best materials. The body is alder for classic tone. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard with 21 big American Standard. The pickup combo is very versatile and the heart of the instrument. A custom 69 gray bobbin pickup is at the neck, the middle is a reverse wound Fat 50's and the bridge pickup is a hot Texas Special. Tons of tones! Vintage style tuners and a vintage style trem keep it rock solid. The finish is a gorgeous gold sparkle lacquer. It comes from the factory with the full relic treatment including dents and dings and aged hardware. This is a distinctive guitar that may be one of the best Strats you've ever heard!
This Strat plays and sounds great. The 1965 C shaped maple neck feels great. The flat radius and big frets make bending a breeze. The pickup combo allows for a ton of tones, from fat blues to sparkling clean. A really great Strat. This guitar has seen almost zero playtime. The relic finish looks great. Zero fretware. Comes with original case, trem arm, case candy and unopened accessory pack.
This Strat has it all. Killer looks and vibe, awesome tone and great feel. A relatively rare instrument, I've only seen a handful available for sale. If you're lucky enough to track one down in stores, expect to pay over $4000. Here's one for a lot less!
