Nothing is more rock n roll than a Flying V! A classic combo of features for big tone. This one is even better thanks to some nice upgrades! It really has the vibe of an original 60s V! Solid mahogany body for excellent sustain. Solid mahogany neck with a slim taper and a rosewood fingerboard for easy playability. The bridge pickup has been upgraded to a Dimarzio Super Distortion while a smooth upgraded Gibson Burstbucker resides at the neck. Go from hard rock to classic blues with this combo. Added late 60s Gibson Witch Hat knobs for the look of an original 67. Nashville Tuneomatic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece for rock solid tone. Vintage Kluson style tuners are dependable and accurate. The black finish is classic and easily the most popular color. Rock guitars don't get much cooler than a Flying V!
This V has good feel and nice tone. The slim taper neck is straight and the action is good. The pickups are loud and powerful. This is a fine used guitar showing normal playwear. It shows moderate pick, clearcoat and belt scratches and some small indents. Still very nice looking. Comes in original hardshell case.
A black Gibson V is a legendary instrument. Classic lines and powerful tone. A new one would cost you $1199 at the superstores. Buy a used one and save some dough! This is as cool as it gets without mortgaging your house for an original late 60s V!
