2000 Fender '69 Reissue Paisley Telecaster! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! Flower Power! This is one of Fender's earlier reissues of the original classic. Popularized by James Burton, Brad Paisley as well as just about any vintage guitar coffee table book or calendar, originals have become highly sought after collector's items. Built in Japan, these Teles are high quality recreations of the original 1968-69 summer of love guitar. Japanese Fenders are well known by players as being some of the best around. Many gigging pros would take a Japanese Fender over an American model. Great specs. The body is basswood for light weight. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a 7.25 inch radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage frets. A duo of Tele single coils dish out killer tone. A string through 3 saddle bridge and Kluson style tuners keep it solid. The pink paisley finish is absolutely stunning showing a reflective center section and pink sunbursting on the edges. One of the coolest reissues Fender offered! I've always loved the feel of a Japanese Fender. The neck on these paisley reissues is slim and comfortable. Well regarded by most players in the know. Nice action. The pickups sound great and everything works as it should. This one was collector owned and bought years ago as an investment. Hardly any playtime showing only the slightest signs of ever being touched by human hands. Comes in original shipping carton with tags. Fender no longer offers these. Always a popular choice, the Paisley and Blue Floral Teles are a classic. The 80s and 90s reissues have steadily increased in price over the years. This may be your last chance to grab one. |
