White Reverse Fire Chicken with Gibson Pick! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! I call this one the Fire-Chicken. It's an imported guitar inspired by a certain American instrument. This instrument shared its name with the kind of car that Burt Reynolds drove in Smokey and the Bandit or that guys with mullets and Foghat 8 tracks drove in the 80s. Back to the guitar. It's quite the cool instrument with a vibe that captures the 60s era well. The reverse body has all of the cool contours and looks like it could have been designed by somebody in the car business. The reverse headstock on the 24.75 inch scale neck looks cool while the rosewood fingerboard features pearloid trapezoid inlays. Dual mini humbuckers dish out big tones. A Stopbar tailpiece, Tuneomatic bridge and sealed tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is classic white and is set off with cool mirror bronze pickguard and truss rod cover. The truss rod cover has a logo on it that is against my company policy to show. A very cool instrument that captures a hip vibe! This Fire-Chicken has major boom stick appeal and most groovy tone for the bucks. The neck is straight, the action is good and the frets are fine. A nice player. The pickups have nice tone and articulation. A really hip instrument. Condition wise, this one has had an amateur aging job applied. Not Custom Shop quality but cool for what it is. It shows scratches, dents, dings, finish wear and aged hardware. Kinda hip looking. Comes in a gigbag. Sometimes I dig up the craziest guitars. This one has a Johnny Winter vibe definitely and it's cheap to boot. How can you beat that? |
