2000's Derlin Semi Hollowbody with Gibson Burstbucker pickups! SOLD!

Every once in awhile I get something in stock that's so wacky that I can't even wrap my mind around it. This Derlin semi hollowbody definitely is a contender for one of the craziest instruments I've had in stock in recent memory. It looks to be overseas made and based on a popular thinline semi hollowbody guitar. The headstock even has the correct shape. It even has a Tom DeLonge looking racing stripe! A previous owner went crazy with mods. The guitar features genuine Gibson Burstbucker pickups. The Burstbuckers are hooked to a Varitone switch for a bunch of wacky tones. A phase or coil tap switch has been added to work with the Varitone for even more tonal possibilities. A surprisingly cool guitar at a low price. The semi hollow body is presumably made of laminated maple with a solid wood centerblock for better sustain and feedback resistance. The mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and dot inlays. Dual Gibson Burstbucker humbuckers dish out classic tone while the varitone adds lots of odd sonic possibilities. A Tuneomatic bridge, Stopbar tailpiece, and sealed tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is classic white with a wild racing stripe for cool looks. What a cool instrument for the bucks!
This guitar plays well and has surprisingly good tone for the price. The neck is straight, the frets show little signs of use and the action is nice. The pickups sound great and have classic Gibson tone. The Varitone offers a wide array of unusual tones. Condition wise, this guitar has been very well taken care of. It shows light pick and clearcoat scratches. Very nice. Comes in an aftermarket hardshell case.
This guitar would be a great choice for anyone looking for a unique instrument at a great price. The pickups and hardshell case would cost a significant portion of the purchase price. A great value.
