2000's Fat Dog Lowell Archtop! SOLD! Click any picture for supersize view! Big time cool! Inspired by Lowell Folsom's big and bold Gibson ES-5, this 3 pickup monster is made for tone! Big 17 inch body and retro looks make this a real winner. Not to mention that it's priced incredibly affordably. The hollow body is made of laminated maple for good tone and resistance to feedback. The set maple neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with block inlays. Three P-90 pickups deliver classic blues and rockabilly tone. A fancy art deco tailpiece, Tuneomatic bridge and Grover Super Rotomatic tuners with stairstep tuners complete the hardware. The finish is a gorgeous blonde and is set off by gold hardware. A really hip guitar for the bucks! This Fat Dog archtop has a ton of tones and feels great for the bucks. The neck is comfy and the action is good. The P-90s sound cool. A really hip guitar. Condition wise, this is a nice used guitar. It shows light to moderate pick, clearcoat and belt scratches as well as some fading on the gold hardware. there's a little finish checking near the neck joint but nothing major. All in all, a very hip guitar. Comes in an aftermarket hardshell case. This is an outrageously cool guitar for the bucks. Classic blues, jazz, country and rockabilly tones in an attractive and affordable package. A Gibson ES-5 will cost you a fortune on the vintage market. Here's a great tribute for a lot less. |
