Looking for a PRS that's a little different? The EG may fit the bill. Offering a bit more Fender flavor with the classic PRS package, the EG is stripped down and ready to rock. The body is alder for a little brighter tone. The 3 piece maple top adds beauty. The bolt on 25 inch scale maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets. The pickups on this example have been upgraded to a set of G&L Alnico Vintage models. Really great Strat tone. A PRS trem and locking tuners complete the package. The finish is a gorgeous sunburst and is set off by chrome hardware. A really cool guitar for the player and priced affordably.
This PRS plays and sounds good. The neck feels good and the action is nice. The upgraded G&L pickups deliver great Fender like tones. A really cool guitar that can deliver a ton of sounds. Condition wise, this one is for a player. It shows moderate pick, clearcoat and belt wear. Some dents, dings, playwear and stand rash on the headstock. No trem arm. Still a good looking instrument. Comes in original hardshell case.
PRS no longer offers the EG. Too bad as they were fun, affordable guitars that offered a whole new palette of tones. If you're looking for made in the USA PRS quality and want something a little different, the EG could be for you.
