If you've heard any country radio from the past 15 plus years, you've heard Brent Mason! This Nashville session pro is literally all over the radio thanks to his innovative licks and tasty playing. Valley Arts has teamed up with Brent to build a guitar with all of Brent's best ideas. Built in the USA to the highest standards of quality, these Valley Arts guitars live up to their reputation. Now owned by Gibson, this company has built some of the finest instruments for the biggest pro players. The Brent Mason is perhaps their most popular model thanks to a great combo of innovative features. The body is swamp ash for a bright, airy tone like the best vintage Teles. The 25.5 inch scale maple neck features a maple fingerboard with 22 frets. The real fun is in the electronics. Just like Brent's favorite guitar, this instrument features a Gibson mini humbucker at the neck, a Seymour Duncan Hot Stack in the middle, and a Seymour Duncan Lead Stack at the bridge. A separate volume control allows you to blend the middle pickup while a push pull coil tap offers you a variety of tones. A string through six saddle bridge and Sperzel locking tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is a unique pewter silver satin matte that contrasts with hip chrome and gold hardware. This guitar plays great and sounds awesome. The neck has a substantial feel and plays great. The electronics offer a ton of useful tones. Everything works as it should. A great guitar for studio and stage. This guitar is in New Old Stock condition. Almost zero playtime and showing only the slightest shopwear. As clean or cleaner than many guitar being sold as new in stores. Comes in original hardshell case.
The Valley Arts Brent Mason is a deadly combination. Great features and tone. If you are looking at a Custom Shop Fender, Suhr or G&L, this instrument is worthy of some serious consideration. A new one will cost you $2199.00 in stores. If you can actually find one in stock! This one is priced much, much lower.
