2009 Paul Reed Smith Killer Quilt Custom 24! SOLD!

An incredible LIMTED EDITION tribute to the legendary PRS Custom 24! Only 120 made for the US market! An absolutely gorgeous guitar that displays Paul Reed Smith's top notch materials, craftsmanship and attention to detail. The centerpiece of the guitar is its carved KILLER Quilt top. This example looks to have a one piece top. I can't see a seam. How cool is that?!? Incredibly figured quilt maple. The back is lightweight korina for incredible tone. The 25 inch scale Peruvian Mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with banded melon bird inlays. Dual 1957/2008 pickups are hooked to a 3 way switch and coil tap. A PRS trem and locking tuners keep it all rock solid. Nice appointments include a rosewood headstock veneer and a cool mix of chrome and gold hardware. I believe the finish is PRS' new Killer Quilt color, Fire Red with red burst. It really accentuates the beauty of the wood.  Pictures do not do this guitar justice. An incredible top of the line PRS!

Like most PRS guitars, this Killer Quilt plays and sounds great. The Standard shape neck feels great. The 57/08 pickups dish out a variety of tones. More of a vintage vibe than many past PRS offerings, the 57/08's bring classic PAF growl to the table. A really nice sounding guitar. Condition wise, this is an incredibly nice instrument. Bought new recently by a collector and promptly traded in to yours truly, it shows very little play time. Super clean. Many would call it New Old Stock. Comes in original hardshell case with some case candy.

This is an incredible guitar that sounds as nice as it looks. Big tones that can go from vintage to modern. One of the most gorgeous PRS guitars I've seen in awhile as well. A new Killer Quilt will cost you over $4K at the superstores. Here's a very, very nice one for a lot less.
